Disclosures & Licensing
Last updated: October 23, 2026
Who we are
quotemyhealthplans.com is owned and operated by Connectnow LLC, an independent insurance agency. License number: [NPN / Agency License No.]. Business address: [Street Address, City, ST ZIP]. We are licensed to discuss insurance products in the states where we and our agents hold active licenses, and we work with licensed insurance agents and agencies across the country.
We are not a government website
Quote My Health Plans is not a government website and is not connected with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the U.S. government, HealthCare.gov, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, or any federal or state agency. We are a privately owned, for-profit business. If you want to shop for ACA plans directly through the federal Marketplace, you can do so at HealthCare.gov. Our service is an alternative way to compare options with the help of a licensed agent.
We are not an insurance carrier
We do not sell insurance, we do not issue policies, and we do not make coverage decisions. We connect consumers with licensed insurance agents who can present plan options. No coverage exists until a carrier issues a policy and you pay the required premium.
Calling any number on this site reaches a licensed insurance agent
CALLING ANY TELEPHONE NUMBER LISTED ON THIS WEBSITE WILL DIRECT YOU TO A LICENSED INSURANCE AGENT. Agents are independent and are not employees of any government agency or of a carrier unless stated otherwise.
How we are compensated
Comparing quotes through this website is free to you. We are compensated by carriers, agents or agencies when coverage is placed, which is why we can offer the service at no cost to you. This does not change the price you pay for a plan.
Plan availability
We do not offer every plan available in your area. Any information we provide is limited to the plans we do offer. Plan availability, benefits, provider networks, formularies and pricing vary by state, by county and by carrier, and not all plans are available in all states. Benefit amounts, rates and eligibility are determined by the carrier, not by us.
Types of coverage we discuss
ACA / major medical plans. Comprehensive plans that meet the standards of the Affordable Care Act, including coverage of essential health benefits and protection for pre-existing conditions. Depending on your household income and size, you may qualify for a premium tax credit that lowers your monthly premium. Eligibility and amounts are determined by the Marketplace, not by us.
Short-term limited-duration insurance. These plans are designed to bridge gaps in coverage, typically for one to twelve months. Short-term limited-duration insurance is not required to meet federal standards for comprehensive health coverage and is not comprehensive health coverage. It is a temporary, limited policy with fewer benefits and fewer federal protections than other types of health coverage, including coverage available on HealthCare.gov. A short-term policy may not cover you because of pre-existing conditions (for example diabetes, cancer, stroke, arthritis, or heart disease, and mental health and substance use disorders), and it may not cover prescription drugs, preventive screenings, maternity care, emergency services, hospitalization, pediatric care, physical therapy or other categories of care. Ask your agent for the complete list of exclusions and limitations before you enroll.
Supplemental, fixed indemnity and cost-sharing plans. These are not comprehensive health insurance. Fixed indemnity plans pay a set amount for covered treatments and are designed to supplement a health plan by reimbursing some out-of-pocket costs. Cost-sharing or community programs are not health insurance; they pool member contributions to help pay member medical expenses. Each program has its own guidelines, and pre-existing conditions are commonly excluded. If a plan you are offered is not comprehensive health insurance, your agent must tell you so before you enroll.
Privately underwritten plans. Privately underwritten coverage sold outside the Marketplace may offer customizable networks and benefits, but it is not required to include all ACA protections and the carrier may review your health history before approving coverage. Your agent will explain which protections apply before you apply.
Questions to ask before you enroll
- Is this plan ACA-compliant, or is it a limited-benefit, supplemental or cost-sharing plan?
- Is this comprehensive health insurance, or does it supplement coverage I already have?
- What is the deductible, the copay, and the annual out-of-pocket maximum?
- Are my doctors, hospitals and prescriptions covered, and are they in the network?
- Does the plan cover pre-existing conditions? If not, what is excluded?
- When does coverage start, what is the term, and how do I cancel?
